From Local Kitchens to International Shelves

It all started in 2012 when Miguel Mardo spotted a gap in the market: Spanish produce was barely represented in the Middle East. What began as producing authentic Spanish tortillas and gazpacho for local cafés quickly evolved into full-scale retail partnerships, including becoming Spinneys’ exclusive supplier of Spanish produce for a period, laying the foundation for Spanish food exports and exporting Spanish foods to international markets.

Since 2019, the second generation Lander Mardo and Saskia Mardo have taken the reins, bringing a strategic vision to position Taste of Spain as the leading consolidator of Spanish products. Their approach created a unified solution for retailers in multiple markets, focusing on FMCG items while always leading with a premium produce network of growers.

Today, with offices in Spain and a dedicated sourcing team, we help producers reach retailers and distributors in UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Singapore, and Hong Kong. We have grown from a few pallets a month to being recognized as a trusted partner in Spanish food exports, while keeping our flexible, hands-on approach.
